Theoretical Design of 2D Materials: Structure and Electronic Properties
Since the first fabrication of graphene, 2D materials have attracted extraordinary interests for their novel properties and potential applications in electronics and energy related fields. Based on the first-principles calculations, developing new 2D materials with charming properties and exploring the methods to effectively manipulate the electronic properties of 2D materials with structural defects, chemical modification, or external field becomes important for rapidly progress of experiments and continuous expectation on these materials. In this talk, our works on theoretical design of new 2D materials, their structures and electronic properties, as well as the manipulation of 2D materials with defects will be introduced.
武晓君,分别于2000年和2005年在中国科学技术大学化学物理系杨金龙教授指导下获得学士与博士学位。随后,在美国内布莱斯加州大学林肯分校曾晓成课题组从事博士后研究工作。2010年加入中国科学技术大学材料科学工程系担任教授,入选中国科学院百人计划。同时,兼任中国科学院能量转换材料重点实验室教授(2011),合肥微尺度物质科学国家实验室教授(2012)。2013年入选国家 “青年拔尖人才支持计划”。研究兴趣为计算化学与材料学,主要研究低维功能材料的理论设计与模拟,电子结构计算,纳米材料表界面物理化学过程等。已在SCI国际期刊发表论文90余篇,包括J Am Chem Soc, Adv Mater, Angew Chem Int Ed, Nano Lett, ACS Nano期刊文章20余篇。
